The Origins of Templar

The organization known as Templar began during the Crusades. Two legions, one the Christian Templars, the other the Muslim Saracens, and each 1000 men strong, were given a vision from the Almighty. They were both told to go to an ancient fortress where they must defeat 'the enemy of Faith.' Both sides, thinking that this enemy was the opposing side, went to this fortress. When both groups came to outside the fortress from two different directions, both sides saw one another and decided to attack the 'enemy.' However, before the first blow was struck, in a flash of light and a flutter of wings, seven beings of unearthly beauty appeared between the two opposing sides. They spoke in thunderous voices and in all the languages of both sides, "Be not afraid. We are the Arch-Angels of the Almighty. We have brought you here all to fight not each other, but the true enemies of the Faith. They are in the fortress yonder. They are Demons from the pits of Hell; manipulating both Christians and Muslims alike to fight one another to harvest the sins of men. The only way to fight them is to fight them as one." The words of the Angels moved the warriors so, that they fought side by side with former foe and enemy alike and attacked the fortress, thus sending the Demons back to Hell. After the battle was over, the Angels spoke again. "This was just the beginning," the Angel said. "The Demons' hosts are dead, but the Demons are temporarily vanquished from this Earthly realm. They shall return, they will be stronger than ever; and they will not be alone. There are other creatures of Darkness who wish to destroyed your Faiths. Know also, they wish not to just destroy the Faiths of Abraham, but all Faiths; from the Faiths of the East, to the Faiths from the uncivilized lands, and beyond. Fear not, if you spread the word of unity against the forces of Evil, and with our help, this world will will be protected." And that is how the first incarnation of Templar was created.
